Nonproliferation Data Scientist
Oak Ridge National Lab
Birdy is a nonproliferation data scientist at Oak Ridge National Lab in the Nuclear Nonproliferation division. She holds a B.Sc. (2012) in Physics and a M.S.E. (2014) and Ph.D. (2018) in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Her research aims to establish new capabilities for data analysis and interpretation for nonproliferation missions, emphasizing the constraints imposed by sparse data to support high-consequence decisions, necessitating uncertainty quantification.
