Monika Risse studied physics at the University of Bonn (Germany) and made her diploma and her Ph.D. in physics. Since 2001 she is with the Fraunhofer-Institute INT and is the deputy head of the working group Nuclear Security Policy and Detection Techniques of the department Nuclear and Electromagnetic Effects. She has a long time experience in using, testing and validating detection Systems for nuclear material and radioactive sources.
