Aristidis Loumis is a Ph.D. student at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering. They have a M.S. in Mechanical and nuclear Engineering from VCU and a B.S. in Nuclear, Plasma and Radiological Engineering from the University of Illinois (UIUC). They have work experience at Deep Isolation as well as the UIUC and VCU doing waste management, fuel cycle, and radiation detector projects. They received multiple awards and scholarships, including from the UIUC and ANS. They are a member of INMM and ANS and currently serves at the VCU INMM Student Chapter Vice President.
